New Year, New Me.

Well I have decided that this blog is looking a tad tired. So I have been thinking about getting it spruced up a little. I have trawled the tinterweb for a template that I like, but I have sadly left each and every place I have visited empty handed. The problem is that I know what I want and it just isn't out there.

You see my blog to me is more than just a place I visit to write the odd post, it is the place my blog friends pop by to say hello, to have a chat. It is my 'virtual' home, the home of St Jude. So I would like it to reflect that. There are a lot of templates out there but they are obviously geared to appeal to as many people as possible, I want my blog to reflect me.

So to celebrate the start of the new year, new decade and my upcoming momentus birthday I have decided to treat myself to a makeover.  Unfortunately not being particularly clever with the old template design thingy I will need to find someone who has the ability to transform my blog into the image I want for it. This is where I need some help, is there anyone out there who can offer some recommendations for someone who could design me a template. I would prefer to go on a recommendation rather than just jump into this blind.

So if any of you have any suggestions they will be gratefully accepted.

Gah, afraid I can't offer any advice there. I haven't done anything with mine since I started posting. LOL

Maybe find a blog that you like and ask the owner how they did it?

Happy New Year!

I can highly recommend Penfold, he's an amazing designer and can customize just about anything. He's also very good at working from an initial concept if you already have an idea of what you want.

I'm quite stick- in-the-mud re blog faces as whenever I attempt to change things it goes horribly wrong - the last time I lost my beautiful awards. All I can suggest is you trawl through blogs until you find one you admire and ask them for the name of the designer.

Afterthought: what about Kim? He's very talented in design and photography.

I'd recommend Kim Ayres too—he once had a business that designed websites.

A married man, I've learnt never to make suggestions. It's a survival thing.

Pat, Charlie - both good ideas.

Lee - It's ok I don't bite. His Lordship works on the same idea, he sent me shopping for my birthday present yesterday... he said his back was playing up!!

A big one this year---well that will get you out of those nasty
20s.

Your Saintliness! I couldn't get into your blog yesterday and the day before - kept sticking but no problemo today! I clicked on the pic and read the adult content, which was hilarious. It reminded me of the guy - and this takes guts - who sued his penis enlargement tablet supplier on the ground that his penis had not - erm - enlarged.

On that edifying note I announce that I shall blogroll you :D

Clyde - thanks for the heads up!! Urm not the best turn of phrase after reading White Rabbit's comment... sorry. Oh to be back even remotely near my 20s. ;0}

White Rabbit - I'm sorry for the sticky situation, no idea what on earth could have gone wrong. The poor chap with the enlargement problem, but as I pointed out before, it's not size that matters...! Thank you for the blog roll.

I third Kim as a suggestion, he's done a great job with his blog. Alternatively, if you can find one like the layout of, you could change the images and colour scheme using the editor in your dashboard - that's a lot easier than it sounds.

Send me an email, smile sweetly at me, lavish me with praise and flattery (it can be insincere, so long as I don't realise) and we can discuss it :)

Kim, you know that any praise or flattery would be most sincere. xoxo
