The old hormones having been a bit 'iffy' over the past couple of weeks. I've been stuck in a revolving door of emotions, happy, sad, angry, ... I don't know how I feel. I've also been very forgetful. On Wednesday I was supposed to pick up my prescription, blood pressure medication, I forgot. On Thursday I was supposed to pick up my prescription, I forgot. Yesterday I was supposed to pick up my prescription, I forgot. It's the weekend my GP surgery is now closed until Monday, I've run out of my blood pressure medication. Not a good start to the weekend.  I wrote HUGE notes in my diary and then drove home and forgot to call in on my way.

Yesterday I had a morning meeting in my diary... the same diary I have been looking at all week and noting that I have a meeting on Friday morning. I arrived at work in plenty of time, an hour later I received a rather turse telephone call wanting to know what had held me up. Oops that would be my current appalling memory. My diary was sitting on the desk next to me. After racing off to the meeting I returned to my desk, one of my colleagues asked me how it had gone. My eyes glazed over and I realised that I had sat for over an hour listening but not taking anything in. Ah well I'll just have to wait for the minutes to be sent out.

So if anyone is available to take minutes on my daily doings over the next few days I'll be able to update you with what I've been up to next week or I could just ask for you to be copied into the minutes!!

I prescribe a good cup of tea and a long walk in the great outdoors. Just make sure you leave a trail of breadcrumbs ... :-)

Well I'm blaming chemotherapy for my brain fatigue. I guess hormones can play a similar trick.
Not nice. Hope it passes soon.Don't worry!

Is now a bad time to remind you you were supposed to be sending me ideas for your blog makeover?

tNb - Ooh that sounds so good, yes a cup of tea and a walk.. breadcrumbs yes, just so long as I remember to take them with me.

Maggie - I'm hoping this is just a passing phase for both of us hun.

Kim - Urm, yes I know, I'm going to sort this out this weekend, I have the template I just need the photos. Sorry I'm rubbish at the moment.

And you imagine the minutes will actually tell you anything useful? Mine never do, at least they tell people what I would like to have happened at the meeting. Far easier that way.

I'd be happy to add "Send reminders to St. Jude" on my To Do list, but I don't remember where I put it. ;)
Damn those hormones...

Any lapse in memory freaks me out. I always wonder if it's the first symptom of hereditary Alzheimer's. I reckon I can face just about anything but that.

I blame MTL's memory lapses on his countless pills for BP. On the other hand mine is as bad and I only have vitamins. What drives me dotty - just did it today. I suggested - in my mind - we'd have scrambled eggs for lunch but didn't say it out loud.
It must be hell when you have a real job and do important things.

Hormones can be such b!tches! I have a million suggestions so send me an email if you want a few of them, okay?

Hugs!!

Perhaps you've caught something from Mrs Beeton.

I'm sorry, this is not a joking matter. I have constant memory lapses from medication, while yours are from hormones. Whatever the source, it is very frustrating.

My memory's been shot to bits for a few years now. I blame a course of anti-depressants. Everyone else blames my age.

I've been feeling the same lately, and I'm starting to feel/fear that it might have something to do with aging/menopause and not just the time of year (I'm speaking for myself here, alone)...

Console yourself with the fact that you still remember the password to your blog! ;-)

My theory (and I'm sticking to it!) is that the brain just bins anything that seems like a chore. The good stuff we remember.

I have to buy contact lens fluid and washing tablets later. I'm bound to forget at least one...

Heigh ho!
